Good wildlife tours fill up weeks ahead; the great ones go first. Below: the 5 to book early, what each includes and how they actually differ.
Guided dolphin and wildlife boat tour from Faro. Marine biologists search the Atlantic for dolphins, whales, sharks, and birds.
“The trio was great, the guides tried to spot dolphins at different spots, they explained about the species, and it’s evident how much they respect the animals. The team is friendly and it was a very comfortable experience.”
Small group 2.5-hour dolphin and wildlife tour from Faro with marine biologists, Atlantic spotting, and Algarve coastline views. English.
“Great experience, very knowledgeable and friendly guides. The guides really made effort to make everyone feel safe and comfortable, and the small group creates a nice atmosphere. highly recommended, and would love to come again!”

3-hour Cape Cruiser tour from Sagres with a marine biologist, close dolphin and whale spotting, and respectful wildlife viewing.
Small-group Faro speedboat dolphin watching through Ria Formosa, with marine guide sightings, birds and more, 2.5 hours for $58.
Every kind of day out, and the best of each.
