The trip to the market was informative and fun and the cookery school is modern and clean with a great set up for enjoying watching and joining in with the cooking and of course eating it as well. The food was plentiful and very tasty and the hosts are warm, lovely and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour, it added something special to trip to Porto!”

“The market tour was fantastic! Our guide Jacqueline was very knowledgeable of the history, flowers, fruits, sellers and spices. Loved the coffee break and chocolate recommendation, yum! The location of our cooking experience was absolutely stunning, a great spot for photos and super chill. The chef and his team, masters of craft, total food experts, super humble and more than happy to share their knowledge, food secrets and cooking tips! I’m used to getting more hands on with the cooking, this was more of a cooking demonstration - which might actually make it more appealing to a wider audience of foodies, even those who can’t cook! The food was excellent…”

“My favourite part was the market. The authentic food offerings at the market were amazing. Some people there don’t speak English, so communication barriers made pricing difficult at times. Very relaxed atmosphere. Our guide told us we had 45 minutes, but we exceeded that and it wasn’t a problem. Some vendors only take cash so be ready for that. We were not prepared for that. The part I didn’t really like was the 4 x 4 vehicle. The only spot that was comfortable was the row of three. The backseats had very limited visibility for the sites. There were times where it was safe to stand up, but not always.…”
